NEWSLETTER FOR FIRST TERM 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION 

Dear Esteemed Parents/ Guardians 

We thank Almighty Allah for seeing us through the first term 2022/2023 Academic Session. We appreciate His mercies and protection over us. We use this medium to welcome our new parents to Al-Azhar International College, thank you for partnering with us. Our unrelentant efforts towards the students in giving them the best still remains the focus and with God on our side, you will not be disappointed (Amen)

VACATION AND RESUMPTION

We wish to inform our Parents that first term 2022/2023 Academic Session ended on 16^th December, 2022 and the school is to resume for second term 2022/2023 Academic Session on January 9^th, 2023

PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES & PTA LEVY

We implore our Parents/Guardians who are indebted to the school to kindly pay including the PTA levy. Second term school fees can also be paid before the stipulated date of resumption for the smooth and effective running of the school. Payment can be made into any of the school accounts stated below:

EXTERNAL EXAMINATION

We wish to inform our Parents/Guardians that WAEC and BECE Registration have commenced. The registration fees is as follows.

1. WAEC registration fee N35,000 
2. NECO registration fee N30,000
3. BECE for both state and NECO N30,000 The Deadline for the WAEC registration is January 10^th, 2023. This is to be paid to school wema bank account—0122615665.

HOLIDAY ASSIGNMENT

We solicit our parents cooperation  towards the close monitoring of the children during this festive period. You should also assist in ensuring that they do their assignments. Defaulters of these assignments will be sanctioned after resumption.

We acknowledge our dear parents for your support towards the development of the school. Your efforts are highly appreciated. The following are the areas where school PTA have done renovations: 

1. Painting of the two wings of the first floor of the school building during the last holiday (Six classrooms were painted). The work is ongoing in the remaining classrooms as we speak.
2. Repair of damaged toilets both in the school and the hostel.

   AWARD

The Association of Nigerian Muslim Authors, KOGI State chapter acknowledged and gave the school an Award as “The most outstanding college in KOGI State”  during their 25^th Anniversary Lecture award and 25million naira appeal fund.

THE USE OF PHONE

In order to meet up with the current trend in education in the aspect of technology and digitalization, the use of electrical gadget becomes a necessity, hence the need for students to connect education through the use of phones/tablets or laptops.

The students were asked to come with any of them and submit to the school management for proper monitoring of it’s usage. Unfortunately, some of the students abused the use. The management have made a policy that, any phone caught with the students will be seized and never returned and a sanction of N5,000 will be paid.

Kindly check your ward(s) result by visiting the schooltry application. The new parents should download the schooltry application from the playstore or apple store to check for their ward first term result. you can contact this number for more clarification.
