We use this opportunity to welcome our new parents to Al-Azhar International College, thank you for choosing Al-Azhar.
Discipline
The school is determined to produce students who will not only be useful to themselves but also to the world at large, we enjoin our parents to support us in infusing the right values and virtues in our children especially in ensuring that simple rules and regulations are strictly adhere to. Violation of the school’s ethics will not go unpunished. We strongly appeal to our parents to ensure that their ward(s) conform to the school’s policy.
Academic Report on First Term 2022/2023
Glory is to Almighty Allah for the success recorded so far with respect to academic work of the students. Upon resumption, the students were engaged in one or two activities and they were admonished to be responsible for their work in order to achieve great success. This masterstroke of advice has galvanized the students to put more efforts to the work than before as evidenced in the mid-term report.
Virtually, most of the students scored above 35 out of 40 marks in most of the subjects. This is a significant improvement as against the last term mid-term report. Besides, most of the students are more engaging in healthy competition by forming study groups and sharing useful ideas to help them learn better. Consequently, they had a better result.
The success adhered so far did not come as a surprise because the school has put in place robust academic programmes that help each child to maximize his/her potentials.
However, we observed critically those who occupy the lower runs of academic ladder. We are working diligently to helping them achieve better grades and be confidence about themselves.
Al-Azhar Family Contest
The purpose of setting up the Tuesday programme is gradually yielding fruitful result. The score sheet so far in this term shows that Legacy Family emerged as the best family for the month of October after scoring the higher points aggregately in all the competitions done so far.
Digital Education
The use of schooltry and other digital tools such as Zoboform, Survey hearts etc. in learning and teaching has come to stay. This is a new world order for a school that is hungry for success for students. The new technology is easy and faster for students.
The world is changing, we must change with it. We implore the parents to key into this new model for a better service and satisfaction.
We believe that it is a brilliant idea by the proprietor to provide a policy to allow the students to use phones to do their works which is very important and they can as well become addicted to it to do things academically and not otherwise.
To this end, the school has made available individual login details and other resources for more effectiveness and efficiency in the use of the schooltry application.
Strengthening Capacity
The school has hired new breed of teachers that are more than equal to deliver contents to the students. These teachers have the master of their subjects and are committed to doing their work excellently well. The school is so encouraged by their work ethics especially their style of teaching so far.
Meanwhile, the school has conducted seminars purposely to equip the teachers with the right information to the learners. This will be a regular exercise in order to bring the teachers to the level which will meet the demand of the new age.
The Interactive White Board
The use of interactive white board is been embedded in our daily academic routines because that’s what is obtainable in the developed world and we cannot afford to miss out in action as far as teaching advancement in education is concerned. We are setting the pace for others in Kogi State.
The new teachers are being trained and encouraged to make use of this new model to aid teaching and learning.
Olympiad /Spelling Bee Competition
The school participated in this year school Olympiad on 2nd October, 2022.
We did Junior Science Olympiad and this result will be released toward the end of the December, we are hopeful that INSALLAH we will qualify for the second round, if not the final. Through this, many students in Nigeria have got scholarship to study abroad.
Also, during the long break in August, some of our students also participated in NAPPS Spelling Bee competition and we qualified to represent the state at National level in Lagos. However, we could not show up in Lagos due to some logistic problem (i.e. security challenges). The successes recorded so far was courtesy of Tuesday programme because it prepares them for any academic competition ahead of others.
Payment Of School Fees
We implore our parents who are yet to pay and those with part-payment including the PTA levy to kindly do so before resuming from mid-term break. The prompt payment of school fees will conveniently allow the school management to plan well and also meet its financial obligations.

Parent Teacher Association
Our sincere appreciation goes to our PTA who has put the development of the school as their priority. They have done the following renovations so far:-
- Painting of the two wings of the first floor of the school building during the holiday (six classrooms).
- Repair of damaged toilets both in the school and the hostels.

Assignment:
In keeping to our tradition, we have given all our students mid-term assignment to do during the short holiday. Parents are advised to closely monitor or supervise their ward(s) to make sure these assignments are thoroughly done.
